Carol Pinckney Hennesy, 65, 0f Spartanburg, South Carolina passed away at her residence on Monday, May 26, 2025.
Carol was the daughter of the late Thomas Joseph Hennesy III and the late Kathryn Oakman Hennesy. She was also preceded in death by her sister: Kathy Elaine Hennesy Glass; a brother-in-law: Edward Loy Glass.
Carol was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and attended USC Upstate College and later graduated from Gardner Webb University. She was a retired postal clerk with the United States Postal Service. She was very thoughtful and a true friend to others. She valued the friendship of others and enjoyed spending time with them and her family. She was an avid Gamecock fan. She enjoyed politics and researching her family history. She would often send a text to her family on Memorial Day reminding them of their loved ones that had served in the military.
Left to cherish Carol’s memories are her brother: Michael “Mike” Hennesy (Carla); her two nephews: Brian Loy Glass (Emily) and Joseph Edward Glass; two nieces: Claire Hacker (David) and Ashley Parker (Kevin); six great nephews: Anderson and Oliver Glass, Tripp and Greer Hacker, and Max and Sean Parker.
The family will receive friends between 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Floyd Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service to honor the life of Carol Pinckney Hennesy will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 2, 2025, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tommy Sparks officiating.
Carol will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memories will be cherished by her family and friends for years to come.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for memorial contributions made in Carol's memory to your local Humane Society.
