Carol Sue Hutton, age 84 of Raymore, Missouri, formerly of Butler, Missouri died Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Carnegie Village in Belton, Missouri. She was born March 2, 1941 to Charles Harvey and Hazel Beatrice Trosper Ayres in Rich Hill, Missouri.

During her childhood, her family moved to Pomona, California where she attended school and in 1960 relocated to Butler, Missouri. Carol worked at Glenn's Cafe as a waitress and it was there that she met Glenn Hutton, whom she married on January 7, 1966. To this union, they raised three daughters. After Glenn's Cafe was sold in 1975, she worked for short periods at Casey's General Store, Cox Hide and Bass Buster, before a 23-year career at Vit-A-Zine as a secretary, bookkeeper and office manager, retiring on September 11, 2009. Carol was a member of the Missouri Women's Bowling Writers and the National Women Bowling Writers. She won many writing awards, including the coveted Brunswick Award.

Carol wanted it known that her greatest accomplishment was raising the most wonderful children. She loved any time she could spend with her family, but especially when they would all gather for Christmas. Carol was a superb bowler–participating in 31 state tournaments–and was passionate about passing on her knowledge to future generations. She devoted some of her spare time volunteering with youth bowling leagues, helping them get to state tournaments, and writing a bowling column for over 20 years in the Butler paper. In her later years Carol could be found playing cards with friends and family, traveling, baking, reading and listening to music by Billy Joel. Carol's passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing her and her memory will live on through stories told by family and friends.

Carol is survived by two daughters, Diana Hutton and Tisha Foley (Christopher) all of Belton, Missouri; five grandchildren, Kristy, J.R., Ashli (Brian), Kaelyn and Joseph; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Janice Russell of Butler, Missouri. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Donna Hutton; and two brothers, Charles "Chuck" Ayres and Harold "Bud" Ayres.
