Gloria Hutton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home on Jan. 30, 2026.
Gloria Hutton, Albany, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, at age 89.
Born in Ohio on October 14, 1936, the daughter of Emmett and Evelyn McCaskey,
She spent her early years with her sister Betty.
Everett Lee Hutton would become her husband, and together they began their
family. Raising three rambunctious sons filled their days with joy. Life was always
bustling from her boys to nephews, working and playing on land that had been in
her family for generations.
That farm and homestead was where she felt most happy. Hers was a life of
thoughtful action; and if you hoped to keep up, then you had better hurry.
Beyond farm and family, Gloria served as Columbia Township clerk for many
decades, never losing an election. She worked long, hard days, often rising before
dawn and continuing until nightfall. She lovingly prepared meals from the garden
and the animals she raised, her rolls and noodles were legend. Let us remember and
celebrate a life well lived.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Betty, her husband Everett;
her son Stanley (Debrah), and her nephew Vincent.
She is survived by her sons Gary (Tara) and David (Stacie); her nephew Randy; her
grandchildren Vera Barnes, Jason Pierce, Isabella Hutton, and William Hutton; and her
great-grandchildren Cheylan, Hunter, Justin, and Nathan.
Gloria will be dearly missed. We will think of her when we see sunrise over the
oak-covered hills or the evening fireflies when the workday has ended, or at the
sound of a garden hoe getting feisty with some hard soil.
As per her wishes, graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 1 PM, at Standish Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, and in honor of her more than 35 years of service as ColumbiaTownship clerk, the family request donations to the Columbia Township Volunteer Fire Department or to a cause you feel worthy.
