Jarnutowski, Carol
Howell, Michigan
Her Legacy Carol Marie Jarnutowski, 80, passed away July 19, 2025. She was born on July 11, 1945, in San Antonio, Texas to Atlee Sumrall and Geraldine (Farrell) Sumrall. Carol married the love of her life, James Jarnutowski, on July 27, 1985, in Chicago, Illinois. She will be remembered as, 'The Chief", because she was the first born in her family. Carol was a very caring person who spoiled her grandkids but also had a lovingly blunt communication style; she would just tell it like is. She loved shopping, her dog, Tucker, playing video games on her phone and cooking savory dishes for her family. Carol enjoyed cheering for the Denver Broncos and was learning to love the Lions since her move to Michigan. Carol liked to relax by watching the water, the birds and the flowers.
Her Family Carol will be missed by her loving husband, James Jarnutowski; devoted children, Victoria (Richard) Wolf, James (Michelle) Jarnutowski, William (Gloria) Jarnutowski, Julia Henderson; siblings, Janet Sumrall, Michael (Carol) Sumrall, Elaine (Jaime) Pachon; grandchildren Olivia, Bradley, Caitlin, Dawson, Ethan, Jacob, Brendan; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Atlee and Geraldine Sumrall and her sisters, Barbara and Mary Sumrall.
Her Farewell Carol's family and friends will gather to celebrate her life privately at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to Denver Dumb Friends League, now known as Humane Colorado (ddfl.org). Please leave a message of comfort for Carol's family at 1-877-231-7900, or sign her guestbook at www.borekjennings.com.
