Carol Ann Jorgensen

August 13, 1943 – February 27, 2026

Carol Ann Jorgensen, 82, went home to be with the Lord on February 27, 2026. She was born on August 13, 1943, in Washington, D.C., to Clyde Calhoun Pitts, a World War II U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and Jean Joanna Brzezinski.

Carol shared a dedicated marriage of 62 years with her beloved husband, Douglas Arthur Jorgensen. They celebrated their 62nd anniversary on February 1.

She is survived by her husband, Doug; her children, Jill Jorgensen Lowell and James Arthur Jorgensen (Cyndee Jorgensen); her grandsons, Gene Austin Lowell III (Christina Lowell) and Jared Alexander Lowell; her brothers, Kenneth Clyde Pitts and Richard Warren Pitts; and her sister, Janice Samson.

Carol was a devoted follower of Christ and a faithful member of Cornerstone Family Church in Fountain Hills, Arizona, since 1985. Her faith shaped her life and the way she loved and served others. Even through seasons of personal suffering, Carol remained committed to ministering to those around her-sending thoughtful cards, heartfelt texts, and words of encouragement that lifted the spirits of many.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend whose quiet faith and kindness touched countless lives. Through simple acts of encouragement-cards, messages, and thoughtful words-she faithfully pointed others to hope in the Lord. Her legacy of faith, compassion, and steadfast trust in God will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A private celebration of life will be held by the immediate family. Those wishing to honor Carol's memory may make a donation to a ministry that was close to her heart, Joni & Friends, at https://joniandfriends.org.

"Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning;

For I trust in You;

Teach me the way in which I should walk;

For to You I lift up my soul."
