Carol Ann Koller, age 81, died peacefully at home in Durham, NC after battling a long illness on June 23, 2022. She was born on September 30, 1940, to the late Margaret and Don Lucas.
Carol raised her 6 children in Rockville Centre, NY before moving to Durham over 20 years ago. She graduated from Oceanside High School, Oceanside, NY in 1958. After being a stay-at-home mom for many years she entered the workforce as a merchandiser at Hallmark cards and retired after 28+ years.
Carol is survived by her husband of almost 65 years, William Martin Koller; and their children: sons William (Peggy), James (Jody) and daughters Jacqueline (John) and Karen (Chris). Carol was preceded in death by sons Robert (Suzanne) and Michael (Dawn). Carol was a proud grandmother to Michael (Carolynn), Christopher, Tami (Paul), Katherine, Alexandra, Christina, Morgan, Matthew, Hunter, Payton, Conner and great-grandmother to Charlotte and Madelyn.
Friend may visit from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, June 28, at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 W Main Street, Durham, NC.
Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 29, at Saint Matthew Catholic Church cemetery, 1001 Mason Road, Durham, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lustgarten Foundation, Pancreatic Cancer Research, Woodbury, NY
