Carol Lamphear Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Waite Funeral Home Medina on Mar. 12, 2024.
Carol J. Lamphear, age 89, passed away March 9, 2024 in Brunswick. She was born on May 9, 1934 in Wadsworth, Ohio to the late Walter and Evelyn (Wilson) Caskey. Carol loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She always loved the family holidays and get togethers. Carol especially loved camping and boating during her summers at Lake Erie, Port Clinton area for 44 years. She made so many wonderful memories with family and very special friends there. Before that, she would always vacation to Canada with her family and parents. She also loved vacationing to Las Vegas and Florida. Carol worked till she was 75 years old at several jobs. After her husband passed away, she became very independent and kept herself busy. When she quit working, she would still walk to the Rec Center and participate in the Silver Sneakers activities. We would like to give special thanks to Willowood Care Center in Brunswick, for the loving and kind care they gave to her. Also, Harmony Hospice for helping us during the last couple of weeks. Everyone would remark that she always had a smile on her face. She surely was a very happy lady!! She will be extremely missed by us all.
She is survived by her children Patricia (Glenn) Neuman and Robert (Christine) Lamphear; grandchildren Josh Neuman, Tyson Neuman, Sean Neuman, Marcus (Jessica) Neuman, Nate Neuman, Kim (Jeff) Safko, Kory (Liz) Lamphear; great grandchildren Zoe Neuman, Kane Cutlip, Trent & Brody Neuman, Kaydence & Ryder Neuman, Isabella & Kolton Lamphear; " bonus" great grandchildren Jeffrey, Jason & Jack Safko; nieces and nephews and a lifetime of collected friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Charles Lamphear, in 2000; parents; and her siblings Merlin Imhoff and Robert Caskey.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. A Celebration of Carol's Life will immediately follow at 7:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
She will be privately laid to rest with her husband, Chuck, at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in care of the family for the activities fund at Willowood Care Center in Brunswick.
