Carol Sue Litten, 91, of Findlay, Ohio passed peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2025. She was born on December 25, 1933 in Lima, Ohio to Earl F. and Beatrice B. Smith.
Carol was a 1951 graduate of Columbus Grove High School and went on to earn a degree in Medical Technology from The Ohio State University.
On May 7, 1955 Carol married William Dean Litten, who preceded her in death on August 26, 2022. Together, they built a loving home and raised three children.
Carol began her professional life as a Laboratory Technician at Fostoria Hospital. Later, she enjoyed a second career working as an Admissions Representative at Stautzenberger College where she found fulfillment guiding students toward their futures.
A woman of deep faith and compassion, Carol had a lifelong love for giving back to her community and was an active member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church. Her generosity and kindness left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Above all, Carol cherished her family. She took great pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, celebrating their milestones and accomplishments with joy. She will be remembered for her warmth, intelligence, and enduring love for those around her, and greatly missed.
Carol is survived by her son Troy Litten of San Francisco, CA; daughter Dawn Bennett of Findlay; grandchildren Will (Hannah) Bennett, Paige Bennett, and Gabe Bennett; and great-grandchildren Blair and Harper Bennett. She is also survived by her sister Kirsten Money of San Diego, CA. She is preceded by her son and daughter-in-law Trent and Ingrid Litten; parents; brother Robert Smith; and sister Beata Lackey.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Findlay, Ohio. Online condolences may be shared at www.coldrencrates.com.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 800 South Main Street, Findlay, Ohio.
