Carol Lopez

Carol Lopez was born March 28th, 1955, in Wichita Kansas to Wilhelm and Wilma Owen Witte and attended Colbert Schools, where she lived most of her life. She married John Gregory Lopez Sr. in July 1973 in her parent's home in Colbert and again at St Patrick's Church in Denison Tx after becoming a Catholic. They raised five children together, whom she loved very much.

She was employed by Montgomery Ward, Mervyn's, and Sear's for many years. She loved going to play Bingo with her Husband at the VFW in Denison, taking her children to the Lake to swim, shopping at the Resale Barn in Pottsboro, gardening and playing outside with her Grandchildren Addyson and John.

Carol was not afraid of hard work as taught to her by her father. She did yard work often and even roofed her home with the help of her brother Freddy.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Aunt Kathy, her beloved Paco, and many other loved ones whom she missed dearly and has now been reunited with in Heaven, in which we all take great comfort. She was loved and will be dearly missed.

Carol is survived by her Brother Freddy Witte, Children: Michelle Lopez, Christina Lopez, John Gregory Lopez Jr., Jason Lopez, and Jerad Lopez. Grandchildren: Christopher Sorrell, Nicholas Sorrell, Isabella Hollowell, Jason Lopez, Kynlee Lopez, Karsen Lopez, Addyson Lopez and John Gregory Lopez III. Great Grandchildren: Parker Garcia and Brayden Garcia.

A Graveside service will be held for Carol Lopez at 4 p.m. Saturday September 6th, 2025, at the Garden of Memory Cemetery Pavilion in Colbert, Oklahoma with Burial following.
