She graduated from Strong Vincent High School, Class of 1962. She married the love of her life, David Lucarotti in September 1967 and soon started a family. After her husband's death in 1987, Carol enrolled at Gannon University full-time and earned a Bachelor's Degree in 1992. She continued her education and received a Master's degree in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX in 1993. She worked as a licensed therapist for Community Integration and as a counseling and adoption services therapist for Catholic Charities of Erie. She also held other numerous jobs during her lifetime. Carol was an active member at LECOM Health and Wellness Center as well as La Nuova Aurora Society of Erie.

Carol was an adventurous and spontaneous spirit with a zest for life. She was funny, compassionate, loving and quick-witted. Carol had a strong desire to learn new things and loved to cook, especially homemade meals, pasta and pies for her family and friends. She enjoyed yoga, paddle boarding, reading, writing poetry, and travelling all over the world, especially to Italy to visit family. Carol was a supportive and very lively spectator at all of her grandchildren's sporting events.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David F. Lucarotti; her brother, Marc P. DiRaimo; and her brother-in-law, Enrique "Tony" Torres.

Carol is survived by her children, Andrea Lucarotti (Scot Johnston) and Anthony Lucarotti (Jennifer); her sisters, Lucy Torres of Torrance, CA and Stephanie DiRaimo (Dan DeMarco) of Westfield, NY; her brother, Stephen DiRaimo Jr. (Debbie Freitas) of Oceanside, CA; and her grandchildren, Alexa Williamson; Michael, Ryan and Ava Lucarotti and Sydney and Spencer Johnston. She is also survived by her extended family including many nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous lifelong friends.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 2pm to 5pm at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc. 2122 Raspberry Street, Erie, PA 16502. Andrea and Alexa, I´m very sorry for the loss of your Mom and Grandma. I remember seeing her around your house when you lived across from us on Melrose and always thought how young and beautiful she was. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.
