WORCESTER: Carol Anne (Young) Manoli, 69, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025 after a long illness. She passed away surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her children: Tony Mattero of Stoughton, Erin Roach of Auburn and Katie Manoli of Worcester; her grandchildren; her siblings: Raymond Young and his wife Sandra of Spencer; Rainell Young and his wife Corrine of Worcester and Margaret Alvarado of Worcester and all her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by siblings: Alfred Roy Germain, Ella "Patsy" Germain, Louise Sandra Young and Herbie Young.
Carol was born and raised in Worcester the daughter of the late Herbert Arthur and Margaret Mary (Trudell) Young. She was a woman whose heart was as big as her spirit, she was spunky and she lived a life defined by warmth, generosity with an unmistakable sparkle that touched everyone she met. While she was a friend to many, her greatest and most cherished titles were those within her family: she was a devoted daughter, a loving sister and aunt, always ready with a laugh or a helping hand. Above all else, Carol was a mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were the lights of her life—her "main event." She poured her heart into them, ensuring they knew the depth of her love and the strength of her support every single day.
To Carol, life was a series of celebrations waiting to happen. She was a fun-loving and outgoing soul who found magic in everyday life. Whether she was singing along to a song, cooking her favorite dishes, basking in the sun, soaking up the wonder of Disney or meticulously decorating for the holidays, she did so with a joyful energy that was truly infectious. Her passion for gift-giving was legendary; she lived to make others feel special, always finding the perfect token to show she cared. Her legacy is one of kindness, "spunky" resilience, and a reminder to celebrate every season of life to the fullest. Carol’s spirit will continue to shine in the holiday lights she loved so much and in the hearts of the family she adored.
Her passing on Christmas Eve is a poignant reminder of the love she brought to every holiday. While her presence will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace. Family and friends are all invited to attend a Memorial Mass for Carol on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at 11:30 am at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 939 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01610. There are no calling hours or burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Carol's memory may be made to: a Women's Shelter, an Animal Rescue or a charity of your choice. J.
