Carol G. Mayberry, age 86, passed away on January 10, 2026.

She is survived by her daughter Suzannah Brown (Daniel), her son Raymond Mayberry (Helen), and grandchildren Joshua Brown and Phoebe Mayberry. She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Betty Gilbert, her husband Joshua Mayberry, and her brother Edward Gilbert.

After graduating from Rutgers University, she taught English at Eastside High School in Paterson, NJ. She then moved to New York City, where she became a successful executive in the radio industry from the late 1960s to the early 1980s. She was a Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of The Robert E. Eastman Company, and a Vice President of Katz Communications. After marrying, she moved to Harrington Park, NJ, where she had her first child and headed a company, Intermedia Analysis. She then moved to Upper Saddle River, NJ, where she had her second child and formed a radio station brokerage firm, Capstone Communications, Inc., with her husband. After thirty years in Upper Saddle River, she retired to Mahwah, NJ, where she enjoyed playing Bridge with friends, reading, doing the New York Times crossword puzzle, participating in activities at the Senior Center.

She will be best remembered as a loyal friend and an adoring parent and grandparent.

Services are Sunday, January 18th, 1:30 PM at Robert Schoem's Menorah Chapel, W-150 Route 4, Paramus, NJ.
