Carol (Parsons) Miller, age 76, of Glen Dale, West Virginia, passed away on Friday November 14, 2025 at her home.
Carol was born March 20, 1949 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Ross V. Parsons and Virginia P. Litman.
Before her retirement, she was the Director of Nursing at Reynold's Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale, WV, an instructor at Ohio Valley General Hospital, past board member of the BM School of Nursing, the WV Board of Examiners, the National Board of Nursing, the American Organization of Nurse Executives and past member of the National Nurses Council.
She was a faithful member of Simpson United Methodist Church of Moundsville, WV where she led bible study for many years, served on the staff of parish relations committee, the worship committee, as secretary of the charge conference, lay leader and as a liturgist, and was currently serving as the head of the Northern District Lay Servant Academy in which she has served for many years.
Carol was a member of The Moundsville Rotary Club where she served as past president.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. John R. Miller; one sister, Eleanor L. Acker; and a brother, William Welsh.
She is survived by two daughters, Tiffany (Jason) Turner of Wheeling, WV, and Melanie M. Aquilino also of Wheeling; three grandchildren, Gino (Addisson) Aquilino, Shelby Aquilino, and Maggie Turner; a great granddaughter, Gianna Aquilino; a sister in law, Margaret Welsh of Wheeling; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and close friends.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Grisells Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville.
Family will also receive friends on Thursday from 9am until the time of the funeral service at 10am at Simpson United Methodist Church, 800 Seventh Street, Moundsville, WV Rev. Kara Rowe and Rev. Neil Leftwich officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary, Wheeling, WV.
