Carol Morley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 1, 2013.
Carol Jean Zabojnik Morley was born in Dallas, Texas on August 20,1950 to Aubrey Otto Zabojnik and Rose Edith Zabojnik. She was the first born of four children. Carol graduated from South Garland High School. She went on to a few years in college at Womens University in Denton, Tx. She continued her education and attended beauty school and owned and operated her own beauty salon while living in Dallas. She was married to Glenn Brown and had their only son Ryan Brown. She was a very proud mother and wife and loved cooking and being domestic. She was always ready to celebrate, have a party and bake a cake! She loved to cook! Shortly after she found herself relocating to Eagle Vail, Colorado. She and her former husband Tom Morley founded a Tex-Mex restaurant in Minturn Colorado in 1982. She had a love of the mountains and had a beautiful home in Eagle Vail at the base of Beaver Creek. She loved the outdoors and was a great skier and hiker. She was very active working in her garden and loved flowers and plants. But her true love was cooking and entertaining, her home was filled with friends, food and love. Celebrations of all holidays were celebrated in her home, she would cook and prep for days serving homemade entrees. Her restaurant, Chili Willy's became a hot spot for over 25 years providing good food, fun and visiting with friends from all over the country. They returned year after year to see their lovely host and owner Carol! She welcomed people with a loving heart. She spent time developing recipes she became famous for, her red and green chili, canned salsa, and a variety of other very popular tex-mex entrees. Cooking was her true love. In 1997, ready for some city life, she retired and relocated to Denver. She loved the action of the city and continued her career in the beauty business. In 2002 she made a move to Longmont, bought a beautiful condo and spent hours painting and decorating it. She had an eye for decorating and her home was beautiful and comfortable. She took great pride in the details and made it her very special home. She found great comfort and joy in her home. Carol showed strength, bravery and courage when she was ill in 2013. She had a strong desire to live and struggled with having to leave us. She was an inspiration to all near to her, she will be truly missed and never forgotten. Rest in Peace, Carol. Love you. Carol was survived by son Ryan Brown, Sister Barb Rahmig, brother Aubrey Zabojnik and Loving mother Rose Zabojnik.
