Carol was born on December 16, 1942, in Savannah, Georgia, to Melvin and Alice Pearson. She was a woman whose generosity and love knew no bounds; always welcoming others with open arms, and treating everyone like family. Affectionately known as "Granny," Carol poured her heart into every meal she cooked, she turned any kitchen into a place of comfort, laughter, and lasting memories. With her gentle spirit, and unconditional love, she touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and grace that will never be forgotten.

Carol is survived by her children, Angela Morris Douglas, Jamie Morris, and Brian Morris; her grandchildren, Carol Douglas, Emanuel Douglas IV, Cody Morris, Troy Morris, Hunter Morris, Summer Morris, Cory Morris, and Sarah Morris; and her great-grandchildren, Bentley Arnold, Emanuel Douglas V, Emalynn Douglas, and Jasper Morris. She is also survived by her sister, Dolores Pearson Barthelmess, as well as many extended family members and lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by parents, Melvin and Alice Pearson; siblings, Buddy Pearson, Jewel Pearson Lopez, Mary Alice Pearson Stone, Gary Pearson, and child, Robert Pearson.

We invite you to join us as we honor the life of Carol. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 5:30 PM at The Savannah Boathouse Marina.
