Carol Mueller Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 7, 2025.
Carol Ann Mueller, 78, passed away September 4th peacefully in Yakima, Washington. She was born on February 14, 1947, in Quincy, California, and moved to Corning at a young age, where she built a life filled with love, family, and service to others.

Carol dedicated her career to teaching, working as a beloved first-grade teacher for 35 years. She touched countless lives with her patience, warmth, and encouragement, shaping the futures of generations of students.

She shared 50 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Robert, who proceeded her in death. Together they raised two children. Family was always at the center of Carol's heart and her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Leanne Mueller (Jim Van Buren), Matthew Mueller (Michelle) and her two cherished grandsons, Sean and Zachary.

Carol will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend. Her bright smile, kindness, and generous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A service to celebrate Carol's life will be held on November 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Hill Cemetery, followed by a reception at First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Carol's memory to Corning Friends of the Library located at 740 3rd Street, Corning, Ca.
