Carol Ann "Prydal" Olejer

Carol Ann Prydal Olejer, 65, of Harrisonburg, VA passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at her home.

Mrs. Olejer was born on August 26, 1960 in New York, NY and was the daughter of the late Stanley Prydal and Anna Elizabeth Dean Prydal.

Carol first worked as a neonatal Registered Nurse at Beth Israel Medical Center for 17 years and then at Good Samaritan Hospital for 20 years, until her retirement. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and loved working in the Food Pantry at the church. Carol enjoyed cooking and liked to travel. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her children and grandchildren.

On August 9, 1980, she married Andrew Christopher Olejer, who survives.

Surviving family members in addition to her husband of 45 years, are her sons, Andrew C. Olejer, Jr. and wife, Bethany, of Purcellville, Thomas Olejer and wife, Molly, of Midlothian and Daniel Olejer and wife, Rebecca, of Midlothian; brother, Richard Prydal of Cornwall, NY; grandchildren, Andrew Olejer, III, Aiden Olejer, Walter Olejer, Shepherd Olejer, Nathaniel Olejer and Lincoln Olejer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Patricia Prydal.

A funeral mass will be conducted at 12 p.m., on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Silvio Kaberia officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2026, at Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
