Sharon Monger Obituary
She was born on November 29, 1949, in Charlottesville and was the only daughter of the late Forest Price and Virginia Eloise Tanner Dudley.
Sharon was raised in Orange and graduated from Orange County High School. She moved to the Shenandoah Valley in the mid-seventies – after falling in love with the area – where she continued working as a bank teller for many years. Later in life Sharon opted to be at home with the children and opened her own salon at her home in McGaheysville called New Attitude Beauty Shop.
She was a woman of strong faith and a member of Mountain View Fellowship Church of the Brethren in McGaheysville.
Surviving are a daughter, Chelsea Elaine Dillashaw & Jason Root of McGaheysville; a son, Mark Edward Dillashaw and wife, Linda, all of McGaheysville; five grandchildren, Aaron Blake Root, Colin Jacob Root, Forest Edward Dillashaw, Landon Price Root, and Quinn Eloise Dillashaw.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Mountain View Fellowship Church of the Brethren. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the church.
