Frederick Knight Obituary
Mr. Knight was born on May 31, 1949, in Rockingham County and was a son of the late Zeb Frederick and Jean (Morris) Knight Pitsenbarger. Fred retired from GE/Genicom after more than 30 years as a Mechanical Technician. He was a true outdoorsman. Fred loved to hunt and fish. His greatest enjoyment came from mountain trail riding on his horses with his wife and friends, and spending time with his dogs.
On July 4, 1975, he married the former Diana Lantz who survives.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Knight is survived by two step-brothers, Kenneth Pitsenbarger and wife, Debbie, and Mark Pitsenbarger and wife, Donna; numerous nieces and nephews, and many special friends.
He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Dolen Pitsenbarger.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 5 until 7 p.m., at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
