Carol Pflanz Obituary
Carol G. Pflanz died peacefully on June 30, 2023. She was 86.
The daughter of the late Howard & Frances Caswell, she was born March 11, 1937 in Port Jervis, NY.
Carol loved all the holidays from dressing up on Halloween to decorating for Christmas. She even spent many years making wreaths and other Christmas decorations at Roucken's Christmas Center & Nursery. Her yard will keep her green thumb print long after she is gone and her family will always remember her cooking and most of all her baking.
In addition to her parents Carol was predeceased in life by her son Jim Miller and her brother Dennis Caswell along with his wife Sandy.
She is survived by her devoted husband Gerald Pflanz at home. Beloved mother of William Miller, Carolee Jasper (Jerome), Lori Caswell, Renee Caswell and Gerald Pflanz II (Dawn). Dear grandmother of Joseph & Olivia Modera, Alex Pflanz, Jimmy, Jason and Justin Miller, Melissa, Michelle and Emily Miller, Jessica Hahto, Amy Bock, Dominic Martel and Joshua Jasper. Cherished sister of Howdy Caswell and his wife Sue. Carol was also a great grandmother, great great grandmother and aunt to many.
Visiting Monday 7/3 from 11:00 to 12:30PM at Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home 154 East Main Street Port Jervis NY 12771. Funeral Service 12:30PM at the Funeral Home, Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst officiating. Interment to follow Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush.

Extreme sadness for the loss of my beautiful aunt!
I can remember many of times sitting and chatting, spending nights over and having some great laughs. I will miss you.

I have so many memories. You, my Aunt Carol, were always there. I remember your yellow Volkswagen bug. I loved my " window" seat.
I remember eating watermelon and cantaloupe outside in the back of Ma and Grandad's and you taught me the specialty of salt as we had a fruit picnic. I miss the Sundays that I looked forward to because I knew we would all be eating dinner together and I would get special attention from you as you would say,"Nope, it's not quite time to cook the rabbit." Your special smile that would make anyone feel like they were perfect in your eyes. Working on wreaths with you at Roucken Nursery at Christmas time. More than anything I will always remember that I am your Rabbit. I will love and miss you always.
