Carol Nuckels Ramsey, 79, of North Wilkesboro, NC, and formerly of Chambersburg, PA, passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Saturday, August 23, 2025, at her daughter’s residence after a period of declining health.
Born November 30, 1945 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Lora Jean Hull Nuckels.
Aside from her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Dona Nuckels Grove, and a brother, Herbert “Herbie” D. Nuckels.
Carol enjoyed playing card games, family game nights, and attending her grandchildren’s events. It was important to her, particularly, as her time dwindled away on this earth, for her family and friends to know that she loved them very much.
She is survived by two daughters, Shannon Kramer Hunsecker and husband Rodney of Chambersburg, PA, and Tara Kramer Perry and husband Jere of North Wilkesboro; a brother, Larry Nuckels and wife Joni of SC; four grandchildren Skyler Perry of North Wilkesboro, Briley Perry of Fayetteville, PA, Caitlin Hunsecker and fiance’ Cody D’Angelo of Shippensburg, PA, and Colton Hunsecker of Chambersburg; a great grandson Oliver Miller; three nieces, Carla Carroll, Nicole Shields, and Cher Nuckels; a nephew, Jeremy Nuckels; and her former husbands, Jerry Kramer, with whom she shared her children, and George Ramsey.
The family wishes to express their sincerest thanks to Mountain Valley Hospice for the care they provided. Most of all, the family would like to thank Miss Tina, who was a very special caregiver in Carol’s final weeks.
A graveside service to celebrate Carol’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Parklawns Memorial Gardens, 3218 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
The family requests memorial contributions be made in Carol’s honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, ALSAC/St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
