Carol was my precious cousin. Her mother Inez Greer and my mother Hazel Murray were sisters. I have childhood memories of holiday visits and sleep overs but the sweetest memories come when we reunited as sisters in Christ and went to Jill Briscoe´s retreat for women. Carol and I had a wonderful phone conversation just days before her stroke Shared memories of our sweet Grandma Esther. Made plans to see each other in January, and now rather than meeting at a restaurant, we will meet at the feet of Jesus as God directs! God gave me these precious words this morning from 1Peter 5:8-11 "Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are. In His kindness God called you to share in His eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, He will restore support and strengthen you, and He will place you on a firm foundation. All power to Him forever! Amen
