JACOB (JAKE) RASMUSSEN, 27, of Brick, NJ, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025. Jake was born and raised in Jackson, NJ and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He experienced an unexplained medical event in his home and was pronounced at Brick University Medical Center, cause of death still unknown.

Jake is survived by the love of his life, Alexandra Gerlach; his parents, Gordon and Christine of Columbus, NJ; his brother, Drew of Denver, CO; his sisters, Jillian and her daughter, Addison of Mays Landing, NJ and Leyna and her wife, Kaleigh and son, Jesse of Waterford, CT. He is also survived by his beloved aunts, uncles, many cousins and their children.

Jake worked 6 years for Safari Solutions as Onsite Technical Manager, building networks at PGA golf courses in the U.S. and Mexico.

Jake had a passion for traveling the world and playing golf all over. He had a love of manual sports cars, owning 2 of his own, a daily driver and 2 motorcycles. He loved gaming with friends and cheering on his favorite teams. He knew everything about the Mets, Jets, and Devils. He was into all kinds of music, knew all the words to hundreds of songs, loved rolling his windows down and blasting his favorite tunes. He loved all dogs, his aquariums, and especially the two cats he shared with Alex.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation from 3:00 to 4:00 with his funeral service and celebration of life from 4:00 to 6:00 on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the GoFundMe in Jake's name--In Memory of Jake: A Life Full of Love and Joy, and would be greatly appreciated.
