Carol Ann (Dugan) Reed, 72, of Nashua, NH, passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 29, 2024. She was born in Bangor, ME, on September 26, 1951. 

Carol graduated from Brewer High School in 1969, and began working for the telephone company, relocating several times for work over the years. She eventually relocated to NH where she settled with her son Scott, met her husband Tom and welcomed his family into hers. Carol retired from Verizon after over 30 years of service. 

Carol loved to give back to the community, she spent much of her time volunteering with Special Olympics, Honor Flight, PBS television auction and clowning as “Kaycee the clown” through the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Carol loved to travel and was able to visit some of her dream destinations – Ireland, Graceland and Nashville TN. She enjoyed listening to music, watching the Red Sox and spending time with family, friends and especially her grandchildren and furry family members.  

Carol is survived by her husband Thomas Reed of 21 years, her son Scott Dwelley and wife Kimberly of Powell, OH; a bonus daughter Jody Bozek whom she loved like her own and her husband Jon of Nashua, NH; and a step-son Jason Reed of Hudson, NH

Carol leaves behind her proudest joy in life; her 6 grandchildren, Maddisen and Marissa Dwelley, Joshua, Raegan and Abigail Bozek, and Jason Reed Jr. She is also survived by her mother Kathleen Dugan, sisters Colleen (Dugan) Zaccardo and her husband Joe, Nancy (Dugan) Adams and her husband Russ, Trisha (Dugan) Eldridge, and a brother Daniel Dugan and his wife Kellie, as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Carol was predeceased by her father William C. Dugan.

Calling hours will be held in celebration of Carol’s life on Tuesday, June 4th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Phaneuf Funeral Homes, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, NH. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, June 5th at 9:30am, at 154 Main Street United Methodist Church, Main St., Nashua, NH. A private cemetery committal will be held at the NH State Veteran's Cemetery at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made out to the Humane Society of Greater Nashua 24 Ferry Rd, Nashua, NH 03064.
