Carol C. Ritz., age 79 of Truman passed away on April 23, 2025 at Heartland Senior Living in Truman. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Friday, May 2, 2025 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Truman. A time for visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 4-6PM and one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
Carol was born on October 13, 1945 in Armstrong, IA to Clarence and Caroline (Eike) Kinnander. She graduated from Armstrong High School in 1963. On April 6, 1974, Carol married Kenneth Ritz. The couple later settled on the farm north of Truman. Carol worked as a certified nurse assistant at the hospital in Fairmont and in her later years, at Truman Senior Living.
She enjoyed cross-stitch, puzzles, and playing cards. She loved her family dearly.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sophie (John) Gripentrog of Foley, MO, Edward Ritz of Truman; Ruth Ritz (Paul Skog) of Fairmont and Andrew Ritz of Truman; grandchildren, Emma Ritz (Korban Galyon), Zach Ritz, Lizzy Ritz, Gary Montgomery Jr., Alexis (Robert) White, Ivy Barnes and Rose Barnes. Great-Grandson Maverick and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her parents; sister, Elizabeth Lindell and brother-in-law, Dale Lindell.
