Carol Ann Rogers, age 72, of Pembroke, NH, passed away on December 11, 2023, leaving behind a world that just got a little less colorful. Born on April 11, 1951, in Concord, NH, Carol was a true crochet connoisseur and the reigning Queen of yarn.
With a personality as vibrant as her crochet creations, Carol was a beautiful, loving, and sassy spitfire. She knew how to thread joy into every stitch. When she wasn't busy hooking up masterpieces, Carol could be found on her "walkabouts" in the yard, soaking up the beauty of nature like no other.
She had an unbeatable bond with her children and grandchildren, and she even had a mischievous game of "flipping the bird" with her son-in-law Joshua. Carol's playful spirit and infectious laughter will be sorely missed.
Carol's family was her greatest masterpiece. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anita (Berard) Merchant and Amos "Smokey" Merchant, as well as her husband, John Rogers Jr, and her infant son, Alan Rogers. Survived by her daughters, Lynn Miller (husband Bruce) and Carrie Tetro (husband Joshua), and her grandchildren, Ron Shuman, Eric Miller, Bethany Miller, Moriah Spalding, Cassandra Medeiros, John Gold Jr, Kanye Nance, Damien Tetro and Seth Tetro
In her professional journey, Carol worked her magic as a Machine Operator at Rumford Press and later as a Mail Clerk for the State of New Hampshire. After years of hard work, she decided to unravel her career and embrace a well-deserved retirement.
As we bid farewell to our beloved Carol Ann Rogers, let us continue to embrace the colorful threads of life, just as she did. May she forever crochet her way into our hearts.
In honor of Carol's colorful life, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. So, grab your brightest threads and let's stitch together beautiful memories, as we remember Carol Ann Rogers, the crochet queen who left us with a legacy as warm and cozy as her handmade blankets.
