CONCORD - George E. Marchand, 75, of Concord passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 14, 2025. Born on September 6, 1949, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the son of Paul and Ruth (English) Marchand.

George was well known for his love of fishing, boating, and gardening. He took pleasure in spending time with his family and teaching many how to water ski. His love for gardening and the outdoors was only surpassed by the love he held for his grandchildren. He was a man of many talents and interests. He was known for his chess mastery and was proud to have taught his sons, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. George served in the Marine Corp and was a VFW.

He is survived by his significant other, Martha Peterson; his sons, Jesse and Michael Marchand and Jesse's wife, Jessica Marchand; his grandchildren, Benjamin and Elise Marchand; siblings, Lynn Mignacca, John Marchand, Tommy Marchand, Lisa Shattuck and Robert Marchand and ex-wife, Victoria Marchand.

Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his brother, Jay Marchand.

He was a loving father and grandfather, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, River Road, Allenstown.
