Carol Sarmes

1952 - 2025

Carol Sarames, 73, of Milton, FL, passed away on August 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. Born Carol Himmel to Loretta and James Himmel of Port Jefferson, NY, she brought her vibrant spirit to Florida in 2008.

A beacon of love and guidance, Carol was a cherished sister to Michael, Kenny, Linda (Richard), and James (Rachel); a devoted mother to Christopher (Danielle), Jason, and Donna (Frank); and an adoring grandmother to Anthony, Gianni, Bella, Nicco, and Dario, whose lives she illuminated with her boundless affection.

For 19 years, Carol served as Treasurer of the Center Moriches School District, where her integrity and kindness made her a beloved figure to all. Alongside her late husband, Paul Sarames, she passionately volunteered with the Florida Audubon Society, tirelessly monitoring eagle nests across Central Florida to protect its wildlife. Her selflessness extended to the American Red Cross and local VFW, where she poured her heart into serving others, embodying the true spirit of community.

A celebration of Carol's extraordinary life will be held at Trahan Family Funeral Home, 6539 Trammel Drive, Milton, FL 32570, on Saturday, August 30, 2025, with visitation beginning at 5:00 PM and memorial services immediately following at 6:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Florida Audubon Society to support their Eagle Rescue Missions, honoring Carol's passion for preserving nature's beauty.
