Carol Sue Sullivan passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, at The Meadows at Shannodell, Audubon, PA. Born in Yonkers, NY on March 2, 1946, to the late Bill and Mildred Robertson, Carol's journey through life was marked by unwavering devotion to her husband, close knit friendships with her early Yonkers friends, and raising her son and grandchildren.

Carol was predeceased by her late husband, Lee Joseph Sullivan (married for 45 years), the love of her life, and her sister Barbara. Carol is survived by her son Lee Jay Sullivan; his wife, and her caretaker, Verne; her grandchildren Logan and Holly and their spouses Kelsey and Fola. It was the greatest joy of her last year to get to meet her great grandchildren Camille and Amelia.

While first and foremost a mother and grandmother, Carol had several other interests throughout her life. Carol spent time as a secretary, studied to be a dental hygienist, and later as a dental office receptionist. However, Carol was most proud of her time as a military wife spending time in numerous posts, including a yearlong stay in Saudi Arabia and a year spent supporting the family as her husband was deployed to Vietnam.

Carol displayed a keen, honest sense of humor, using it to take on the journeys of life. She also used this sense of humor, and a fierce competitive streak for the activities she enjoyed later in life – tennis, bridge, and golf. Her grandchildren would say you did not want to be on the other side of Grandma in a card game. These traits have been passed down to the family. We will all miss her deeply but are comforted that her suffering has ended and she now goes to be with her husband in the afterlife.

Carol will be interred with Lee at Arlington Cemetery at a later date.
