Margaret Sullivan

Margaret A. Sullivan, known affectionately as Marge to her friends and family, passed away on August 30, 2025, at the age of 75. She was a native of Philadelphia, born on July 21, 1950, and a proud alumna of Cardinal Dougherty High School. Marge was a compassionate, humble, thoughtful, and courageous woman. She was a pillar of strength and a beacon of warmth to those who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Margaret's humble beginnings in the Lawndale section of Philadelphia shaped her into a resilient woman who took pride in her city.

In her professional life, Margaret was a dedicated employee, working for Girard Bank Sears and Lowe's Home Improvement. Her courage and perseverance saw her through challenging times, and her compassionate nature made her a beloved figure among her colleagues. But Margaret was more than just her profession. She was a lover of life, relishing the simple, beautiful moments. She enjoyed spending time at Maggie's Waterfront, cheering on the Phillies with her dear friend, Pat. However, the highlight of her life was without a doubt, her family. Margaret was a devoted mother to her children Jennifer Vallone (Michael), Susan Morris (Beto), Joseph Morris (Michele), and Brian Morris (Kate), and a doting grandmother to Matthew, Tyler, Isabella, Phoebe, Emma, Michael, and Violet.

Margaret is survived by her children, grandchildren, and her siblings Joanne Doyle, Vicki Finkenbinder, Nancy Overturf, and Vincent Reischman. She was preceded in death by her parents Vincent and Margaret Reischman and her beloved spouse Ron Sullivan whom she enjoyed spending weekends in North Wildwood, especially Irish Weekend.

A visitation for Margaret will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church in Philadelphia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Inurnment will take place at St. Dominic Cemetery at noon.

Margaret Sullivan's life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and the human spirit. She will be remembered for her kindness, her humble nature, and her unwavering courage.
