Carol Swift Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
Carol Ann Swift, 68, of Youngstown, Florida, passed away on September 6, 2025. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 23, 1957, Carol was a woman whose heart was as vast as her spirit. She graduated from Greenfield High School and went on to earn an Associate's Degree in Business Administration, embodying the quiet determination and drive that defined much of her life.
Carol's true joy, however, was found in the company of her family and loved ones. She was the epitome of kindness, with a smile that could light up a room and a voice that made everyone feel heard and valued. Her sweet accent, warm nature, and gentle humor made every conversation with her feel like a gift.
Carol was a profoundly loving and devoted mother and sister, whose heart belonged entirely to her two sons, Cody (Alycia), Justin Swift, and brother, Dale, and sister-in-law Maggie Krzyzanowski. She was incredibly proud of the men her boys had become and her love for them was immeasurable. Every step of their lives, every achievement, and every challenge was shared with a deep sense of pride and affection. Her love for them was unconditional, and she poured her heart into being the best mother she could be, always showing them how much they meant to her.
Her grandchildren, Jackson, Grady, and Payton, were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment with them. Carol took great joy in spoiling them with gifts, sharing stories, and making sure they felt the warmth of her love.
Carol's passions extended beyond family. She had a love for Bingo, an adventurous spirit that led her to travel, and a peaceful connection to nature, especially while kayaking down the serene waters of Econfina Creek. But no matter where she went or what she did, her boys were always at the center of her heart.
Carol's love for her animals was another constant in her life. She found comfort and companionship in her cats, Stormy, No Tail, and Some Tail, who were always close by.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Krzyzanowski; her mother, Ruth Krzyzanowski.
She was married to her beloved husband, David F. Corrigan Jr., for five wonderful years. David's unwavering love, care, and support filled the last 12 years of Carol's life, providing her with a sense of peace and joy that will never be forgotten. Their bond was one of deep affection, respect, and a love that grew stronger with each passing year. Carol's family is deeply grateful for David's dedication to her well-being and for the beautiful memories they created together.
A celebration of Carol's life will be held at a later time. In this moment of sorrow, the family is comforted by the love and prayers they have received from friends and loved ones. Carol will be forever remembered as a loving mother, a proud grandmother, and a cherished friend. Her legacy of kindness, compassion, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to St. Jude’s Children's Research and the local humane society.
