Carol June Ager Teter, age 81, of Jewett passed away suddenly Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville.

Born March 18, 1944, in Steubenville, she was a daughter of the late Ralph Dean Ager and Beulah June Moore Ager. She graduated from Scio High School in 1962 and moved to the Columbus area. Carol received a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Otterbein College in 1997, after taking time to raise her daughter. She moved back to her beloved Harrison County in 2001 and worked for Dr Dan Jones for a year, then she worked at Harrison Community Hospital from 2002 until retiring in 2019.

Carol grew up on a farm near New Rumley and attended the former United Brethren Church. After moving back to Jewett, she attended Cadiz Presbyterian Church. She always kept that love of animals that she had while growing up on the farm.

Carol reconnected with John Lovejoy, whom she met in college, and they were married in 1994. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Molly (Luke) Teter Webb of Vero Beach Florida, granddaughters Eva and Poppy Webb of Vero Beach, Florida, a brother Dean (Linda) Ager of Jewett and a sister Leslie (Jerry) Cochran of Cadiz. She was preceded in death by a sister Christa Ager Mallarnee.

Honoring her wishes she will be cremated with no services. Those wishing to send memorials in her honor may make contributions to the Harrison County Humane Society, 106 S Eastport St, Scio, Ohio 43988. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with her arrangements.
