Carol grew up on a farm near New Rumley and attended the former United Brethren Church. After moving back to Jewett, she attended Cadiz Presbyterian Church. She always kept that love of animals that she had while growing up on the farm.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Molly (Luke) Teter Webb of Vero Beach Florida, granddaughters Eva and Poppy Webb of Vero Beach, Florida, a brother Dean (Linda) Ager of Jewett and a sister Leslie (Jerry) Cochran of Cadiz. She was preceded in death by a sister Christa Ager Mallarnee.
