Carol Marie Tschudy

With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we bid farewell to a woman whose presence illuminated the lives of all who knew her. Carol Marie Tschudy, a beacon of love and compassion, departed from this world on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will forever endure.
Born on September 27, 1951, to the late Andrew William Tschudy and Phyllis Irene Anderson in Minneapolis, MN, Carol's journey was marked by selflessness and devotion to those she held dear. Her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was not merely a title but a sacred duty she embraced with unwavering dedication. Survived by her three loving children, Andrea (Javier) Gomez; Suzanna (John) Holmgren, and Wesley Miller, along with six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, her love knew no bounds, and her family was her everything.
But Carol's benevolence extended far beyond her own kin. She possessed a heart of gold, always ready to extend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her generosity knew no bounds; she would readily give the shirt off her back without a second thought. Her commitment to serving others found a meaningful outlet in her membership at Elks Lodge 1407, where she found joy and fulfillment in being part of a community dedicated to making a difference.
Among her many passions were gardening and cooking, pursuits that brought her immense joy and satisfaction. Her culinary skills were legendary, with one dish in particular standing out: the infamous "mystery meat special." With a creative flair, she would transform leftover scraps from the week's meals into a culinary masterpiece, much to the amusement of her family. "I wonder what we are eating," they would jest, sharing laughter and love around the dinner table.
Carol's upbringing on one of the largest potato farms in Minnesota instilled in her a strong work ethic and resilience. She knew the value of hard work and perseverance, traits she carried with her throughout her life's journey.
Though Carol may have departed from this earthly realm, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her love, her laughter, and her legacy of kindness will continue to inspire and uplift us in the days ahead.
In accordance with her wishes, Carol will be cremated, allowing her to eternally rest in peace. Preceded in death by her son, Lyndale Miller, and her life partner, Roger Euhler, she now joins them in eternal peace. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the compassionate care of Flores Funeral Home of Mission, where friends, and loved ones may gather to pay their final respects and honor the beautiful soul that was Carol Marie Tschudy. May she find eternal peace and may her memory be a blessing to us all.
