Carol Westbrook Obituary

Carol Kay Westbrook passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, February 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services for Carol Kay Westbrook, 79, of Spokane, Washington, formerly Fairbanks, Alaska, and Longview, Texas, will be held at Rosewood Park Mausoleum on Thursday, March 5th 2026 at 2:00pm.

Carol was born on October 14, 1946, in Gilmer, Texas, to R.V. and Faustine Stracener (Tatom).

Carol was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, known for her kind heart, quick wit, and love for her family. Carol gave selflessly and found her greatest joy in being surrounded by family, especially her cherished grandchildren.

She retired after many years of dedicated service with Alaska Communications Systems in Fairbanks, Alaska. In retirement, Carol enjoyed traveling, taking road trips, gardening, bird watching and creating lasting memories with those closest to her.

She is survived by her sons, Darran Laminack and Stacy Laminack; her daughters, Kimberly Evans, Kristi Deskins, and Adina Grimsley; her brother, Randy Stracener; along with many adored grandchildren, extended family members, and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Alan Westbrook, with whom she shared 39 years of marriage.

Carol will be remembered as the steady heart of the family whose love, strength, and encouragement helped shape who we are today. Now home to be with the Lord, she will forever be missed, always cherished, and never forgotten.
