Carol White

Carol Jean White (nee Wurm),age 93, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026. She was born on September 25, 1932 in Cleveland, OH to the late Thomas and Olive Wurm (nee Dunsford) She was a devoted mother, loving grandmother and great grandmother, who thoroughly enjoyed life.

Carol graduated from Maple Heights High School in Maple Heights, OH, and Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, OH. She taught Fortran at Olympic High School in Charlotte, N.C. and later in life was a Real Estate Agent with Baird-Warner in Naperville. She really loved being a realtor because she felt that she was bringing joy to families moving to Naperville.

Carol loved reading, playing games, and following her grandchildren's sporting events and school activities. She played golf for many years at Naperville Country Club and later, at The Vines in Estero, Florida. She was also an avid duplicate bridge player achieving the Bronze Life Master ranking of which she was very proud to accomplish. Carol was also a deacon at Knox Presbyterian Church.

Her family will always remember her positive outlook on life and how she could always find the silver lining in even the most challenging of times. She also had the great gift of conversation, which she inherited from her father. She made close and long lasting friendships wherever she lived, attributable to the real interest she took in everyone she knew.

She is survived by her children, Thomas White (Carla), Brian White (Patty), and Sally Imburgia (Joseph); 10 grandchildren, Robert (Amy), Brian and Lianna White, Charles (Raquel) White, Delaney (Alex) Munoz, Delilah White, Dominic (Michelle), Joseph (Jenny), Paige, and Tatum Imburgia; and 6 great grandchildren, Jackson and Cooper White, Aria and Evelyn White, Gemma and Brooke Imburgia. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert White.

For those wishing to leave a lasting tribute to Carol's memory, donations may be made to the Naperville Humane Society.

A gathering to celebrate Carol's life will be announced at a later date.
