Carol Joan Brauner Williams passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, at the age of 89 in Covington, Louisiana. She was born on March 25, 1936 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Randell Frederick Brauner and Evelyn Dore Brauner Brue who both preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of both St. Martin’s Episcopal School and The University of Southern Mississippi where she was a member and past president of Phi Mu Sorority.

Carol is preceded in death by her loving husband James Earl Williams, her daughter Donna Williams Smith, sister Nancy Earnest, step-father William Brue and sons-in-law Frank Frabbiele and Bennie Ladner.

Family meant everything to Carol. From the time her girls were little she was always involved. She is survived by her daughters Cheryl W. Knudsen, Cathy W. Frabbiele and Diane W. Segrave. She was Nana to her precious grandchildren Timothy Daigle, Jr. (Jenee), Jaclyn Rawls (Bryan), Austin and Ethan Segrave and Amanda Smith plus great-grandchildren Noah and Avery Daigle and Alexis, Olivia and Emma Rawls. Also survived by son-in-law Dan Smith, sisters-in-laws Sherry Williams Blackwell (Allen) and Gwen Williams, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and other family members.

A Celebration of Life is planned at The Collab Covington, 600 N Hwy 190 Suite 16, Covington, LA on Sunday, March 22, 2026 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Burial will be private at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Tylertown, MS.
