Muriel Priebe-Jackson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. She was 84. She is survived by her loving children, William Priebe (Cindy), Mary Priebe, and Cheryl Priebe Jackson. She is also survived by her grandchildren Joshua Priebe (Logan), Matthew Priebe (Allison), and Benjamin Priebe (Brandee), as well as three great-grandchildren Hayden, Carter, and Emery. She is also survived by her sisters, brother, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Priebe and her second husband William Jackson.
Muriel was born in Batavia, New York where she was a resident for many years. After marrying Richard and having her children, they moved to New Orleans where she worked as a clerk in a pharmacy. Her family then moved to Wichita, Kansas where she worked as a bookkeeper. Finally, they moved back to Louisiana where they made their home in Slidell.
She took a job as a baker and loved working with her colleagues. She most recently attended First Baptist Church in Slidell. She was devoted to her family, especially to her husband and children. Moreover, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
She loved to laugh, square dance, and spend time with her family. She was truly selfless and always concerned about others above herself. She will be dearly missed by all who love her.
