Maureen entered eternal rest on Feb. 3, 2026, after an extended illness at age 72. Maureen was born in New Orleans, April 27, 1953, and raised in Metairie, LA. She believed in the eternal joy of after-life in Heaven, as she was raised and educated through the Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Daniel Coyle; and her mother, Vivian Ryan Coyle. She is survived by and was the beloved wife of Bruce Neal Johnson; mother of Bruce N. Johnson Jr. (Corie); grandmother of Ryder Paul Johnson and Dylan Claire Johnson. She is also survived by her sisters; Sheila Ory (Jim) and Kathleen Coyle, MD, and brother Raymond D. Coyle Jr.; nephew Daniel Ory (Lauren) and other aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Maureen was a graduate of Chapelle H.S., Southeastern Louisiana University, where she earned a B.S. Degree in Medical Technology and at the University of Holy Cross, earning a degree in Nursing.

Her legacy is one of unconditional love, kindness, and fierce protection of her loved ones and friends, as her Irish heritage engrained in her. She deeply loved her son, daughter-in-law and her grand-children, moving to the north-shore to be closer to them. She enjoyed a long career of service in LSU bio-medical research, hospital laboratory, nursing and NASA employments.

Maureen enjoyed a lifetime of caring for pets, especially her adopted dog rescues.

A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
