Carole Lynn Curtis, of Wills Point TX, passed away peacefully surrounded by family that loved her at the Baylor University Cancer Center on Saturday April 30th.  She is survived by her son Sandy Curtis, daughter-in-law Marcy, and grandsons Caleb and Luke, a brother-in-law Norman Frazier, and sister-in-law Elizabeth Curtis, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews that she considered her own. She was preceded by her parents Arbye Curtis Jr. and Gloria McElyea, sister Debra Frasier, and brother Arbye “Lee” Curtis III.

A graduate of Richardson High School, she became an entrepreneur of many different businesses, bookkeeping, photographer, landscaping, and florist before she landed on her calling in construction.  In 1978 she started a successful construction/general contracting company that is still in operation today.

In her free time, she enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, gardening, cruises, and most of all family gatherings where everyone was family.  She was smart as a whip and had a witty sense of humor like no other, you always had to be on guard and ready for a comeback “if you could.”  Even in her last days, she was giving the looks and the jokes that kept everyone…even the doctors on their toes.

She will be greatly missed by all that knew her and her love for all will continue.

Services will be held May 7th at the Quinlan Funeral Home and final resting at the Hart Cemetery, viewing at Quinlan Funeral Home Saturday 9AM with services at 10AM, immediately following services at Hart Cemetery.   There will be a celebration of her life at the lake following the services, bring your chair.
