Carole Doherty

Carole (Moore) Doherty, of Tewksbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, January 9, 2023, at the age of 85. She was the beloved daughter of Roger W. Moore Sr. and Dorothy E. (Dwyer) Moore. Carole precedes her seven siblings, Roger W. Moore Jr., Mary (Moore) Palmariello,, Paul Moore, Raymond Moore, Dorothy E. Moore, Joseph Moore, and twin sister to Claire (Moore) Winter. Wife to the late Ronald J. Doherty. Carole is survived by her five children, Michele C. Doherty, Cheryl (Doherty) Dortona, Michael Doherty, Sean Doherty, and Joseph Doherty. A loving grandmother of eleven grandchildren, Justin, Jessica, Nicholas, Ashley, Alicia, John, Daniel, Shane, Brennan, Caitlin, and Cassidy. Five great-grandchildren Alyvia, Lexi, Averi, Amayah, Benjamin, and Nohemi. Three generations of nieces and nephews.
Carole was born and raised in the small neighborhood of Oak Island, in Revere MA. A 1955 graduate of Revere High School. Carole had a long career in retail. She retired from BJ's Wholesale Club Medford, MA., after 25 years of service at the age of 80. She enjoyed her annual Thanksgiving trip to Las Vegas with her siblings. Carole was a hardcore bingo aficionado, and an avid reader.She enjoyed puzzles and word games, a diehard beachgoer at Revere Beach with family and friends. Carole will be greatly missed and forever loved.
