Carole Jesse Lang (Palumbo) 82 of Millville, NJ was suddenly called to be with our Lord on Thursday, September 25, 2025.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa to the late Alexander and Mary (Meglino) Palumbo, she loved her time with family and found joy in a lifetime of family holidays and gatherings.

While her children were growing she was very active volunteering as a Cub Scout Den Mother, Girls Scout leader and school chaperone/class mother along with many other youth activities.

She had a love for cooking and baking, and growing many of her own fresh ingredients in the garden she kept for many years. Her family deemed her apple pies, cookies and cakes as world class and were the centerpiece of holiday dessert tables for many years. She loved sewing, knitting and crocheting and made blankets and clothes for her family. She also had a love for animals and nature spending a good amount of time outside.

Once her children had grown Carole went back to school earning her degree in accounting. She worked as a bookkeeper for several years, but her true passion was caring for others. This led her to Millville, NJ where she met the true love of her life and husband of 31 years James Lang. With his love and support she was able to complete her nursing degree graduating 3rd in her class. The remaining 15 years of her working career were dedicated to serving others health needs. Once retired Carole and Jim spent the rest of her days enjoying family and friends along with watching Sports. She loved the Philadelphia Eagles (Go Birds!!!), Phillies and March Madness.

In addition to her husband Carole will be remembered and missed by her children, Thomas Jorett Jr. (Susan) of Vineland, NJ, John Jorett (Mary) of Spring Hill, FL and Jeannine Sutherland (Brook) of John's Creek, GA.; Her Grandchildren, John Jorett Jr. (Jullia) of Elsinboro, NJ, Cameron Sutherland of John's Creek, GA, Jayson Jorett of Crystal River, FL and Kyle Sutherland (Madeline) of John's Creek GA.; and Great Grandson John Taylor Jorett.

Carole was a devout Catholic and longtime member of All Saints Catholic Church where a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on October 6, 2025 at 11:30 am. (Address: Buck and Depot Streets, Millville, NJ 08332).

Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Sharp Street, Millville, NJ 08332.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org).
