Carole Vecchio Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rusiewicz Funeral Homes Inc. - Lower Burrell on Feb. 10, 2026.
Carole Jean (Antico) Vecchio 83, of O'Hara Township, PA lovingly passed with family members by her side on February 9, 2026, leaving a void her family cannot fill.

A beloved mother of three children, she was born in Sharpsburg on October 15, 1942 to Anthony Joseph & Lucille Hazel (Pressler) Antico.

A devoted mother, Carole found her greatest joy in her children and family. She treasured every moment spent together and expressed her love in countless quiet ways, most often by caring for others. No family trip or adventure ever began without her thoughtfully packed snacks for the kids and grandkids, a small gesture that spoke volumes about her constant devotion.

Over the past few years, she especially enjoyed participating in activities at Woodside Place, where she spent meaningful time with her family and extended family.

She dedicated 32 years of service as a receptionist at UPMC Sports Medicine, where she was often the first friendly face to greet patients, welcoming everyone with kindness and warmth.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph, of 59 years; and her sister, Pamela Jane.

She is survived by her children, Joey (Jennifer) Vecchio Jr. of Hampton, Jeff (Marcy) Vecchio of West Deer, and Jeannie (Rick) Lippert of Lower Burrell, her adored grandchildren, Justin (Jill) Vecchio, Mikayla (Tommy) Lisowski, Brady & Austin Lippert, Julian Vecchio, and Great Grandchildren, Nolan & Daisy who will forever remember the love she brought into their lives.

Also survived by her siblings: Marlane (Richard) DiPasquale, Anthony (Janice) Antico, and David (Joan) Antico.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 11th from 3:00pm until time of funeral service at 7:00pm at Rusiewicz Funeral Homes Inc., 3124 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Presbyterian Senior Care, Woodside Place Activities Fund, Oakmont, PA. www.RusiewiczFH.com
