Bernadine G. Kristofik

1926 - 2026

Bernadine Genevieve (Osowski) Kristofik, 100, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Feb. 3, 2026. She was born in New Kensington on Jan. 5, 1926, to the late Mary and Frank Ciesielski Osowski. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank P. Kristofik; brothers, Joseph Edward and Walter Ososky; sisters, Mary Rochna, Helen Woitas, Frances Dudek, Stella Seman, and Jane Figorski; and grandson, Brian D. Shaw. Bernie was a faithful and devout member of St. Joseph Church and an active participant of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She loved to cook and filled her home with scrumptious homemade goodies. Bernie enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crafting many adorable Christmas tree ornaments for her loved ones. Each handmade gift will be cherished by many for years to come. Her greatest treasures were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Bernie is survived by her children, Matt (Carol) Kristofik, Roberta (Vince) Conroy, Linda (Tom) Ohaus, Ray (Jennifer) Kristofik, Ginny (Paul) Rappa, Fran (Tim) Borato, Mark (Carol) Kristofik, and Lisa (Stephan) Shaw. Grandmother to 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder St., where Prayers of Transfer will be said at 9:30 a.m., Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church at 1125 Leishman Ave. in New Kensington.
