Carole 'Jeannine' Yoakam, age 86, of Centerburg, Ohio, peacefully passed away on February 14, 2024, after bravely battling a long illness. Born on June 23, 1937, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to the late William Kenneth and Emma Yough, Jeannine leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Jeannine was preceded in death by her beloved son, Todd Yoakam, her brother Bill Yough, sister-in-law Peggy Yough, and nephew Jeff Becker. She is survived by her devoted family: daughter Roxanne (Otis) Bandy, son Pat (Janie) Yoakam, brother Cloyd Yough, sister-in-law Betty Yough, and grandchildren Ryan (Gwen) Bandy, Griffin (Carly) Bandy, Travis (Sheena) Yoakam, and Heath (Randi) Yoakam. Jeannine's great-grandchildren, Cali, Elijah, Brad, Deakon, Kai, Presley, Tinsley, Sevey, and Westlyn, will continue to carry on her spirit.
In her earlier years, Jeannine graduated from Centerburg High School in 1955 before pursuing cosmetology at Ohio State. She dedicated 20 years of her life to Ranco company. Jeannine made a lasting impact at American Showa from 1988 until her retirement. Jeannine held dear the memories of her childhood on a farm outside of Mt. Liberty, surrounded by horses and cherished friendships. Her joy for life was evident in her love for people and her adventurous spirit, taking her to places like Australia and Hawaii. Jeannine often expressed her gratitude for her family, declaring them the "love of her life."
The Yoakam family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the Centerburg Respiratory Staff, who treated Jeannine like family. Their care and compassion are deeply cherished.
