Carolee A. Cargile, 93, passed away on Sunday September 14, 2025. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday September 23, 2025 at First Baptist Church, Kearney, MO with a visitation from 12-1:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery, Kearney, MO. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Kansas City Hospice.

Carolee was called by God to be a nurse at the age of 15. She went to St Luke's School of Nursing in downtown Kansas City and graduated in 1951 with her RN. She spent 64 years working as a nurse, mostly in the ICU.

Carolee is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Cargile to whom she was married for 64 years. Survivors include her children, Roger Cargile of Kansas City, Stephen Cargile and his wife, Kris, of Denver, Colorado; Sean Cargile and his wife, Rose Ann, of Grain Valley; Laura Williams and her husband, Michael, of Liberty and Dan Cargile of Raytown. She is also survived by her sister, Raylene Quaney of Ottawa, Kansas. She also has numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren.

. Carolee loved her family and her church family. She was part of First Baptist Church of Kearney for many years. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School and mentoring other women. She was always willing to listen and offer advice when asked.
