Carolina "Lina" Lucente

Carolina "Lina" Lucente of Highland Park, Illinois, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on October 7, 1931, in Valenzano, Italy, she was the beloved daughter of Rosa Agostinelli (née Palmisano) and Donato Agostinelli, and one of five children.

Lina devoted her life to her family and found her greatest joy in raising her four children: Antonio Lucente (Marianne), Donato Lucente, Domenico Lucente (Lara), and Luca Lucente (Athena). A proud and loving Nonna, she cherished time with her grandchildren-Michael Lucente (Nina), Joey Lucente (Katrina), Luca Lucente, Marco Lucente, as well as children of Athena, Alexander Leitzke (Kylie) and Zachary Leitzke - and was a cherished great-grandmother to Rowan Lucente and Savannah Leitzke.

Lina was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Luca Lucente; her parents, Rosa and Donato Agostinelli; her sister, Palma Labellarte; her brother, Michele Agostinelli; and her daughter-in-law, Marianne Lucente. She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family and for the love she gave so freely to all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church - Christ Our Hope Parish, located at 770 Deerfield Road in Highland Park. Father Hernan will officiate the service.

Entombment will take place immediately following the Mass at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, Illinois.
