Caroline "Carrie" Apker

Caroline (Carrie) M. Apker, 95, of Vestal, N.Y. passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 17, 2023. Carrie was born on December 15, 1927 in Williamsport, PA. Carrie was proud of her family – especially her two children, six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She loved her community, her neighbors, and friends at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. She is predeceased by her parents Fred and Mary Springman; her husband of 67 years, Eugene; son, Fred; great-grandson Keagan; siblings John, Joe, Fred and Isabel. She is survived by her sister Ann Springman, daughter Sharon (John) Donlin; daughter-in-law Mary Apker. Grandchildren Chris (Sonia) Apker, Michelle (Bob) Chillis, Mike (Nicki) Donlin, Steve (Danielle) Donlin, Brian (Katie) Donlin, and Jen (Mike) Phillips. Great-grandchildren Joshua (Rachel), Nathan, Zachary, and Catherine Apker, Samantha, Kiera, and Emily Chillis, Maddie, Jack, Donovan, Will, and Clare Donlin, and Connor and Brynn Phillips. Great-great grandson Frederick Apker.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, 11 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 801 Main Street, Vestal. The family will receive friends Thursday at church from 10 am until Mass time at 11 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
