Dawn Apker

Dawn Apker, a cherished member of our community and a dedicated employee of Ford Motor Company in Monroe for 29 years, passed away on March 2, 2026, in Newport, MI. Born on March 11, 1943, Dawn's life was one marked by her commitment to family, work, and the beauty of the natural world around her.

As a lifelong resident of the area, Dawn devoted herself not only to her career but also to her beloved flower gardens, which she nurtured with care and passion. Her green thumb provided joy not only to her own home but to those fortunate enough to share in her gardening pleasures. Dawn found great happiness in the moments spent with family and friends, always cherishing connections that enriched her life.

Dawn is survived by her four children, twelve grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, all of whom will remember her as a pillar of strength, love, and encouragement. Her legacy and the values she instilled will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

She is preceded in death by her spouse, Leon Apker, and her parents, Fred and Eloise Steele. Their memories remain with her family, shaping the tapestry of love and support that Dawn embodied throughout her life.
