John Giacoma Mason, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on February 3, 1958, in Monroe, he was the son of Jack and Anna (Zubavich) Mason. John lived a life filled with joy, service, and a deep love for those around him.

A proud graduate of Jefferson High School, he married the love of his life, Brenda Taylor, on September 15, 1985. John built a successful career as a Machine Repair Operator. His dedication to his work was matched only by his passion for the people in his life. His warm, steady presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

John was a man of many interests and talents. He found solace and excitement in fishing, often spending weekends by the water, casting his line and reveling in nature's tranquility. As an avid Harley Davidson rider, he embraced the freedom of the open road, sharing memorable rides with friends and family. The thrill of a casino visit sparked joy in him, capturing both the excitement of chance and the camaraderie of companionship. Above all, John cherished the time he spent with his family, creating lasting memories that will remain in their hearts forever.

His family meant everything to him. John is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda, who stood beside him as a partner and friend throughout their journey together. Their love story is one of strength and companionship, one that will continue to inspire those who knew them. He leaves behind his children, Jessica (Eric) Geiger and Tony Mason, who carry forward his legacy of love and resilience. They, along with his cherished granddaughter Heidi, will forever hold a special place for John in their hearts.

John is survived by his siblings: Elizabeth (Dallas) Hughes, Michael (Eva) Mason, Joseph Mason, and Edward (Katrina) Mason. Each of them cherishes memories of laughter and companionship shared with their beloved brother. Their bond, forged through years of shared experiences, will endure as they continue to honor his memory.

John touched the lives of everyone he encountered with his kindness, laughter, and unwavering spirit. As we honor his legacy, let us remember to embrace life as he did—with passion, love, and the strength of family beside us.

We as a family have chosen to cremate dad. We also have chosen to do a celebration of life for dad later in summer. We will give more details about that later once we have them, thank you everyone for all your love, support and prayers.
