Caroline L. Grabner, passed away peacefully on November 03, 2025 at Bayhealth Kent Campus with her family by her side, she was 81. She was the daughter of the late Edwin and Margaret Bringen.
Known for her holistic views and independent nature, Caroline volunteered as a Dahn Yoga instructor with the Frederica Senior Center and Roesville Estates. One of her favorite quotes was “Water Up, Fire Down” referencing the energy of your mind affecting your body. Caroline would often read the energy of the places she went or the people she was around, and was also in tune with everything astrological.
Caroline loved nature, sunsets and sunrises. She enjoyed growing tomatoes and flowers. Caroline was adventurous, travelling across country with her family when they were young, as well as traveling overseas with her daughter, Arline. She enjoyed knitting blankets, hats, sweaters etc. and entering them in the Delaware State Fair often taking top place. Caroline enjoyed singing and dancing in the German club with her husband prior to his passing. The club performed many times in Washington DC and even at the White House. She was known to be strong, kind, always willing to help, but also had an ornery side. Caroline will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Caroline is preceded in death by her husband, Werner Grabner and her sister, Selma Durdin.
Caroline is survived by her children, Charles Grabner (Liz Springer), Arline Grabner (Nick Pasquini) and Mary Fowler (Francis LeRoy Fowler Jr); grandchildren, Christina Nolin, Tricia Nolin, Theresa Nolin-Davies (Adam Davies), and Mary E Fowler; great grandchildren, Layla Nolin, Micah Nolin, Julian Nolin, Sophia Guido, Amy Lynn Pittman, Dane Davies, Hunter Davies, Adalyn Davies and Mary Anne Levesque Fowler; and extended family.
